The Breaking Point
The final straw came during a sunset dinner I had carefully planned.
Instead of sitting beside me, my husband chose to sit with his mother and his ex, leaving me at the opposite end of the table.
As they laughed over old memories, I realized something painful.
I wasn’t a partner on this trip.
I had become unpaid staff.
That night, I sat alone on the beach listening to the waves crash against the shore. For the first time in months, my thoughts became perfectly clear.
