Eyewitnesses Describe Horror Scene
Residents living near the accident site reported hearing a loud explosion-like sound moments before seeing flames and thick smoke rising from the roadway.
“One moment everything was quiet, then we heard screams and crashing metal,” one witness said. “People were trying desperately to help passengers escape.”
Videos shared on social media showed emergency responders working through the night under flashing lights while traffic stretched for miles around the disaster zone.
Investigation Underway
Investigators are currently examining several possible causes, including:
- Brake failure
- Excessive speed
- Poor weather conditions
- Driver fatigue
- Mechanical malfunction
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims pending notification of family members.
Transportation officials stated that a full investigation will be conducted to determine exactly what led to the deadly incident.
