First, add a handful of coarse salt. Salt speeds up the drying of the floor and also acts as a natural disinfectant, killing bacteria and germs.

Then add a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Dishwashing liquid has powerful degreasing properties. If there are oil stains, spilled food, or sticky residue on the floor, the dishwashing liquid will dissolve the grease and leave the surface much cleaner.

Then, add a small amount of white vinegar or freshly squeezed lemon juice. These acidic ingredients help soften stubborn stains, making them easier to remove. They also leave the floor looking brighter and cleaner after mopping.
